Day 12 – Mark 11.22-24: “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
- Pray that we will understand that the power to believe a promise depends on faith in the one who made the promise—God.
- Pray for the North Long Beach Christian Fellowship, their pastor Rev. Walter Carter, his wife Mamie and their family, their church leaders, and congregation.
- Pray for the Shoreline Community Baptist Church, their pastor Rev. Steve Hines, his wife Debra and their family, their church leaders, and congregation.
- Pray for the city of Lomita, their elected and appointed officials, their citizens, and for God’s will to be done in that city.
- Pray that our churches and association will develop multi-housing ministries that include strong evangelism to individuals, couples, and parents and their children.

A long time ago I heard a story about a poor boy begging on the street corner, and all the time he was singing, "Jesus Loves Me." Someone passing by heard him, and asked, "If Jesus loves you, why are you forced to beg on the corner?" The child thought a moment, and said, "I think He tells someone to help me, but that someone forgets." Could that also be the same as when a Christian fails (e.g., through yielding to temptation or failing to pray for God's power in their lives) to grow as a disciple, and as a result God can't use him or her as fully as God wants? Are we unwilling to pay the price to fulfill John 14:12? Jesus says there, "I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." That we are not willing to pay the price of prayer is SIN! Could it be that some of the lost will not hear the gospel because we will not pay the price and pray for God's empowering?
