Update on Ordering GPS Materials through Your Association, the Long Beach Harbor SBA
February 17, 2010
Hello, Pastors and Church Leaders,
The deadline for ordering GPS materials was today, BUT there are more materials than have been ordered so far by our churches in California. So NAMB and the CSBC are sending to the association extra materials in English and Spanish and have asked that the pastors and churches now order their materials through the association. The GPS webpage that was being used to order materials is now not operating for this reason.
We are very happy to do this. We were going to be used to deliver the materials (or have picked up at the association offices) to our churches, and now we will be used to do this extra work, and we are quite happy to do so.
We now expect the materials to actually arrive next week at our offices, a little earlier than originally expected. If you can arrange to have your materials picked up, please let us know. If not, please let us know so we can arrange with you how to get them to you.
If you have not yet ordered materials, it is not too late. Contact the association offices and order them through us.
If you have ordered materials but want to order more, it is not too late. Contact us and we will handle your order.
Let me encourage you to prayerfully think BIG. Seed stored in the barn cannot bring any harvest! Cover with your people as large an area as possible with prayerwalking and prayer-driving on March 20th and that weekend. Cover as large an area as possible with the Gospel Distribution and an invitation and church information from your congregation on March 27th and that weekend.
Let me also remind you to encourage your members to pray for and distribute the Gospel tracts and your church's invitation to all of their family, relatives, friends, neighbors, co-workers, co-students, and acquaintances during this period of time.
Please be ready Easter morning to welcome new people, including people who may not really understand the resurrection or why Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and how they can be saved for an eternity with Jesus and not in hell! Please be ready to follow-up after Easter Sunday with every single person who attends Easter services, and who was met by your prayerwalkers and Gospel distributors during the previous two weeks.
Let me also remind you that the Gospel tracts are not dated. Although the media campaign (see below) in California and across North America will be (approximately) March 17th through the week of Easter, these tracts can be used at any time. Any special event to which you are inviting people can have one of these tracts added to the invitation, such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Fourth of July worship celebrations, block parties--in other words, any special event to which you are inviting people to come. They can be used in any outreach or evangelism effort. And thanks to the churches in North America giving through associational gifts and the Cooperative Program, they are dirt-cheap: 500 tracts and 500 plastic door-hanger bags for only $30.
The media campaign will be 2,239 TV 30-second advertisements on TV and cable networks aimed at adults 25 to 54 years of age. Based on the networks used, including English and Spanish network channels, they anticipate that every adult in California in that age range will, on average, see these 30-second ads 3.2 times during the media campaign time period. Then when they see the door hanger Gospel tracts with the same images that were in the TV ads, they will make the connection between them and your church. You can go to www.findithere.com, and see the 30-second ad there. You will also see the rest of that website, with 2.5 minutes videos, and much more resources for the viewer, including how to find churches in their residential area.
Let's sow the seed! There are lost people around every congregation and among the family, relatives, friends, and acquaintance all of our members know. This is an excellent opportunity to reach multitudes for Christ and for our churches!
If there is any way in which you think I might be able to help you, please contact me! That is the reason I am here, and the reason why the association exists, along with the state and national conventions.
Thanks and God bless.
