Great Commission Resurgence Taskforce Requests Prayer
Submitted by: Chairman Ronnie Floyd
03.04.10 update: The GCR Taskforce gave an initial report, and will give its final about the first of May. It will be presented at the SBC Annual Meeing in Orlando, FL, June 15th-16th. Pleae be in prayer for what decision Southern Baptists should make, as the report involved some major revisions and changes in how our convention relates to each other and does our work. Previous update: Rev. Floyd asks that Southern Baptists pray for the three day meetings Jan. 26-28 in San Antonio, TX. After months of asking questions and gathering info, the "crucible of decision-making" is here, he says. "We will finalize and make many difficult decisions." This report will be presented to the SBC Executive Committee Feb 22-23, and to the press, although additions or revisions are probable before the final report is made in June at the SBC Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL. Please pray that God's will only will be done.03-04-2010

SBC Agencies in Search Mode for Top Leaders
Submitted by: DOM Richard Graham
Please pray for our SBC and the agencies of the North American Mission Board (NAMB), the International Mission Board (IMB), and the Executive Committee (EC) of the SBC. Dr. Geoff Hammond has resigned recently from the NAMB. Dr. Jerry Rankin announced his retirement effective July 31st, 2010, from the IMB. Dr. Morris Chapman announced his retirement from the EC effective September 30, 2010. This means that three of our top SBC agencies (some would say the top three) are now in "Search" mode for their top leadership for the coming years. Given the tremendous changes in both our society and our agencies, we need to ask God for His new leaders in these positions. They are crucial positions for these agencies and for the SBC. Please pray for God's will to be done in each of these positions!09-22-2009

He will have a few more weeks of recovery before it is expected he'll be back to full strength. Please keep him in your prayers. Previous update: Bro. Raganas, pastor of United Baptist Church, had neck artery surgery (on one artery) on Feb.15th. He suffered a light heart attack during the surgery. On Feb. 17th he was experiencing difficulty in breathing and swallowing, and he had a "tract" surgery and was put in ICU as a precaution. Luke 10:2 10:02 AM Daily Prayer Request
Submitted by: DOM Richard Graham
We are calling on all Christians to pray at 10:02 AM each day, and ask God to send workers into the LBHSBA area churches to reap the harvest from the fields of lost people around us. Luke 10:2 records that Jesus told His disciples to pray the Lord of the harvest for more workers to go into the fields of the lost people to win them to salvation in Christ. Please pray! If you have a watch or cell phone or clock that has an alarm mechanism on it, we recommend that you set it for 10:02 AM each day to remind you to pray for more workers in our fields of lost people. Thanks and God bless!05-30-2009
